Blach’s early involvement with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as the third contractor in the nation to join the organization and its own large strides in sustainability are testaments to this fact. This commitment is further demonstrated by our leadership in the completion of sustainable projects, continued investment in the education of our people, and our proactive promotion of sustainable opportunities with our clients.

Blach's LEED Accredited Professional (AP) staff includes LEED EBOM specialty certification | In 2009, Blach Construction diverted 1,043 tons of waste from going to landfills and 92% of that was recyclable. | Blach's Santa Clara Headquarters has received LEED Gold certification from the United States Green Building Council| Blach Construction has 29 LEED Accredited Professionals: 10 Project Managers, 14 Project Engineers, 3 Projects Assistants/Coordinators, 2 Estimators| Approximately $17,000 or 45 % of all Blach Construction's office supplies ordered annually are either made from recycled products or are recyclable.| Blach Construction is dedicated to using alternate energy sources to power their office. 97.5% of the energy usage comes from wind sources, 2.5% comes from solar.|
